If you go into Vsphere - connect to vcenter - Hosts and clusters - select a host - configuration - networking - select the network you are interested in and then you'll see 'nic settings on the right'. In there is the MAC that the switch will see. 'ipconfig /registerdns' in the command line yields 'This operation requires elevation' please help! I have intermittent and slow internet. Usually no problem is detected but occasionally it comes up with 'problem with device or DNS server' I have tried help on other forums. 1) ipconfig /all - this shows all the things like MAC Address, Adapter name, DHCP lease time, DHCP renew time, DNS server.
